Lost of Words

Nope not a new entry YET. Just dropping by to clear the spiderwebs and to prepare for a new entry soon.

Been suuuuuuuuper busy lazy for the past errrr..two months. And...as usual the internet contributes to my laziness as always. Taking forever to get things done around here. If it used to piss the hell out of me now i can just wait and wait and wait and wait without complaining or getting angry.

In short i have learned to tolerate the tardiness of the internet connection here. And when my patience run low i just either shut the comp and go to bed or plug in my hard disk and enjoy a good laugh while watching Running Man. :) That's my therapy for now.

Anyways...i'll see you soon in the next entry (don't know when).

Lots of Love

It's The Climb

" Cause there's always gonna be another mountain
I'm always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be a uphill battle
Sometimes i'm gonna have to lose.
Ain't about how fast i get there
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb" -The Climb: Miley Cyrus-

I have always find comfort in this song. It kind of motivates me but at the same time helps me to keep my feet on the ground. In other words be realistic in your dream and to never give up. And whats important is the journey to the top. ;)

When i was young (not that i'm old now) i always have dreams that changes every other time i saw something new. When i went to school for the first time i tell myself i'll be a teacher one day (it did come true although for a short period of time). Than there was the ER drama. So yeah i wanna be a doctor. ahahaha... Than there's Buffy the Vampire slayer. I wanted to be her before i realize that vampires do not exist. Than there's Charmed (my favourite show of all time) But i knew there's no such thing as demons and witches and vanquishing potions and whitelighter so i only wish there would be something as cool as that in real life. :D

Now that i'm older wiser, i know what i want. It's just the getting there part that needs to be figured out. Remember how i say the media is the most powerful influential tool ever in this era. Well i know i want to part of this influence. But as what? that wasn't a clear picture until a few days ago. I wanna be a Art Director. Besarnye cite-cite. ahahahha... but of cause will start from the bottom.

If i were to tell this to my parents i think they are gonna freak out. yela mane taknye...nak belaja Usuluddin lepas tu nak jadi art director. takde kene mengene langsung kan.  Actually the reason why i took Islamic studies is because i feel this is my responsibility. To know, to understand and to satisfy this brain of mine that always came up with unanswered questions about the religion. And at the same time to spread it through media. Simply because people of today relies on media too much. It's like they'll be handicap without it. Me included.

Than why don't i just go for courses and seminars instead of wasting my time in Uni? Well you see to me its not the time or the outcome that matters. Its about getting there. The experience, the knowledge, the environment, all this teaches me some very important and valuable lessons. And something to fall back upon when everything else fails. :) You gotta plan for rainy day don't cha. ;p

And to further prove my point....i participate in the recent 7km run, Larian Gemilang held by my college. I knew i couldn't win of cause. But like i say its not about the outcome it's about getting there. It's about challenging myself. It's about getting out of the comfort zone and to try new things. I said that i'll try to challenge the limit for this semester right..well this is just the beginning.

The run was tiring no doubt. Endless hills and slopes. But i'm glad i manage to finish the run without any dramas in between. I was tempted to give up. You know like throw myself on the ground and act like i fainted or dehydrate or something so they will send the ambulance and i'll be carried away. hahahaha...

I did what i always do when i feel like giving up. I made it fun and enjoyable. I made the run mine. It is again mind over matter.

Wakil-wakil TKDUM
Starting line
This was our 1st band. We have to collect 4 bands in total.
Our 2nd band. :)
I learned something that day. Not to be greedy and finish the whole cup of water. ;p
Our 3rd band. And wanna guess where this band brings us to???

Taraaaa.....Bukit Cinta yang tercinta. I have no idea who manage to run up that mountain hill but walking up was tiring  enough for me. I was panting breath all the way up there. This is the killer.
We made it through Bukit Cinta. We got our last band for the run. hip hip hurray!!!!
We made it! We made it! We made it!!!!!!!!!!!

Whats important is that we had fun!

Our top 20. They came in 13th, 14th & 15th. Order is from the right. Congratulation guys.
It's not mine. tolong pegang je. :p

So you see guys...in life you gotta go out there and find the key that will unlock your future. You don't just sit around and wait for it to come to you or worse for someone else to find it for you. Naah! never wait but get up and do it. For yourself.

" The struggles i'm facing
The chances i'm taking

Sometimes might knock me down

But no, I'm not breaking." -The Climb: Miley Cyrus-

One Minute of Fame

"Unless you try to do something beyond what you've already mastered you will never GROW"
So that's what i will be doing for this semester. Am gonna challenge the limit and not limit the challenge. :) Gonna try all things that are possible to squeeze through my schedule. I'll GROW this semester to be taller in many more ways. Who's with me???

Looking and how fast time flies can be damn scary at times. I can't believe we are now in the month of March already. The 3rd month of the new year. Absolutely no time to procrastinate.

For the past week, myself and the rest of the Taekwondo demo (demo ni selamat hehehe) team have been training every night to do a demonstration at 12th residential college bazaar (@ frenster12). We put up a few shows on what Taekwondo is about and at the same time try to get people to join the team. It was fun rehearsing every night with the team. It somehow made us closer and strengthen the bond among us. If before this i felt so out of place with the team, now i can talk and joke without feeling awkward at all. That. to me, was a huge improvement in terms of communication. Now i'm looking forward to the family day event with the team. :)

The everyday training was not easy. It was tiring at times and everyone was trying their very best to push themselves to do more. There are hiccups here and there. Even right up to the actual day of performance which results in a missing member of the demo team. But alhamdulillah we manage to overcome it all and still put up a good performance for all. Well... no matter what happens the show must go on right. :)

We had a good time entertaining the audience and performing for them. Although mine lasted for only a minute or less but still i had fun doing it. You see, when you actually enjoy the things you do you wont really find it a hassle or a burden and everything seems much easier with that positive attitude you install in yourself. That's why i made an effort to enjoy the things i do. It's not that hard really, it's just mind over matter. :)

Just look at the smiles on our face. We did had fun ok. ;p

TKDUM Demo Team 2013

Our boys are much more vain than us girls.

The famous TKDUM cheer.
Lights, camera, action.
We got food coupon for the bazaar after the show :)
Ms Secretary, Fatin Turidi

There's a video of our performance. I do not have it with me just yet. Will put it up once i get my hands on it ok. Than you can watch my one minute of fame moves. Hahahahaha....nothing grand just me enjoying what i do. :)

Don't be afraid to try something new. Just go for it and enjoy it. It's ok if you look silly doing it or not cool when you do it what's important is that you gave yourself a chance to try. Open your doors to new challenges and you'll be surprise at what you are capable of.

Don't believe what i say. Try it for yourself. ;)

Ultimate

Like I've mention in my previous entry. This semester is gonna be one hell of a ride. Gonna fasten my seat belt so i won't fall out of track.

If i have loved my Wednesdays last semester, this semester it's packed. From 9am all the way to 7pm. Feel like i'm working on Wednesdays.

But that's ok. Consider it as an investment for the future. hahahahhaaha...

Just a short update with regards to my result. NO its not out yet. :) I went to check what the problem really was with the exam unit. Was informed that the problem lies with the faculty. There's this thing that they didn't declare and so the exam unit will not be able to release the results till they have the declaration from the faculty. Kak Ayu (the officer at the exam unit) was really nice. She even gave me her number so that i don't have to come down to the exam unit (which was by the way so isolated and super far) again just to check on my results. Thanks sis. :)

Anyway the reason for this entry was because of me waking up early on Saturday morning. For what?????
For this...

Ok how many of you have really played this flying disc?

Why flying disc and not Frisbee you might ask. During this short training session we learned that Frisbee is a company's name not the name of the sports. So that unidentified flying object is called UFO flying disc.

So back to my question as to how many of you have actually played this game? And by play i mean the proper match way not the usual i-throw-you-catch way.

If you ever play the match you'll know that it's just like any other sports which requires the player to have good stamina (something that i realize i've been lacking of).

Never did i regret having to wake up early on Saturday and drag my still-half-awake self to the training. Cause i had fun in the sun (and now my skin is a shade darker than usual).

We started with some briefing session as to how the game works and the rules and regulations. The best part about the match i that its referee-less. So it basically lies in the players. They call it the spirit of the game. Where you ought to be honest in the match. If its a fault call it a fault. And if you didn't score say it. Honesty is the best policy in the match. :)

Later we were thought how to throw the disc. The proper way not the asal boleh way. It's harder than it looks ok. The backhand way was easy after a few try. Although it flew all over the place at first but i manage to get it right after a few throw and catch session. The forward throw was kindda hard to get. And when we proceed for the friendly match among us.... i was breathing like i'm having asthma when the match just begun.  And to think that the soccer field was divided by half. Half for the boys and half for the girls. And for the girls it was divided into four and each team on a quarter part of the field.

That's why i said earlier that i need to work on my stamina. Its deteriorating ever since i left secondary school. :( In need of my physical training back. Did i mention how this Ultimate Flying Disc is being played? Well its basically played like rugby, american football or netball. Its the same way just without a touch down.

While i see to my PT needs you guys stay healthy and exercise regularly. Keep that stamina going. :)

Untitled

School barely started and i'm almost out of breath. Been really busy adjusting to the new semester. Lots of activities that i was forced will be joining.

Firstly it was the headache of arranging the schedules so as it won't clash with the other subjects and tutorials. Had to made numerous changes before all fall into place nicely.

This time round i wasn't as lucky as last semester. Now my classes stretch all the way up to 4pm and some days even 7pm. Last semester was heaven for everyday i will end not later than 2pm. :) That gives me plenty of time to get some beauty sleep and well get around my assignments. Looks like i'm really gonna depend on my coffee for this semester.

Since my roommate is now in the sports club so i guess i'll be drag in most of the sports stuff too. For instant i will be having a frisbee training this Saturday at 8am. So there goes my breakfast in bed for weekends. :) And i can assure u there's many more to come.

Coming up will also be a performance by the Taekwondo club that i'm in. So there's gonna be lots and lots of training before we performed on the 28th Feb 2013. I wont be doing any fancy moves just yet. I'm still a newbie at this so just some basic simple moves from me. But still i'm damn nervous about it. Gonna give it a shot though. Hopefully it goes well and i don't screw up.

I can foresee this semester is gonna be a little boring than the first semester and i'll have to work real hard this semester for mostly my subjects are in Arabic. Its not that i hate Arabic language its just that i'm never good at it. It's a beautiful language. I love it. The beauty of the language is incomparable. But still my grammar on that language is really bad. Hence its study hard not smart for me this semester. :)

Ok the internet is going on and off now. Irritating and frustrating as always. But better than nothing right. hehehe.. this is just a random ranting post from me.

You guys have an awesome day ahead. Thanks for dropping by. :p

It came and it goes

January passed me by without me even feeling it did. It came with lots of fireworks and i ended the month by touring the country. :)

Didn't really notice January was because it was when i was busy preparing for my 1st semester's examinations, which by the way i have not know the results of it. It's damn frustrating to know that all the people around you are already throwing celebrations for the results that they get and all you can do is sulk and worry and be nervous about yours. :/ I'm not sure what's the problem with my results though. All the lady from the office said was that, they need to review my results again before they can release it. I almost worried myself to death upon hearing it for i once heard a senior said that usually if the results are bad the lectures will have a meeting first before they can came to a decision. Tell me you wont freak out upon hearing that. I even had nightmares ok about my results.

Maybe i was overreacting and being too paranoid as what the people around me said but honestly I've never been this scared in my entire life waiting for results. Not even when i was taking my O's not even when i was in the boarding school in Indonesia and not even for my course in MDIS. Simply because i had the confidence that i will make it through. But this one... I have not as much confidence as i did with my previous schools. Maybe i felt kinnda intimidated by my own classmates. They seems to know everything while i was like a total stranger to the subjects. What i know is that i tried my best or at least i think i did. So i'm still trying to convince myself to embrace whatever the results might be and just try harder for the next semester (yes i'm preparing myself for the worst).

Ok..enough about my results and back to the reason why I'm doing this entry. :)

January is always a special month for me for two of the people i love the most will turn a year older during this month. My first sis, kak Diya and one of my charmed girls, Lia. I wasn't home exactly on the 18th to celebrate Lia's birthday with her but Azi had something better in mind to make it up to her. A surprise during dinner with her. What's the surprise? Well... it's ME! hahahaha... she didn't know i was back and when i came she was shocked. ahahahha...the plan was a success and the mastermind was super proud of it. :p
I got her a cute musical box that had the word friend sew at the top of the box. Siti and Azi got her a pair of boots. She love them. :)

And amazingly i did not lost my way around town that day. Of cause with detailed instructions on the route by 'my walking directory', Azi. :) I've always love my outings with my girls. Be it just walking around town or seating down for a quite dinner or just hanging around each other for we always end up with lots of laughter doing crazy stuff or a really nice heart to heart talk. And sometimes both, which is what i got out of that one dinner i had with them the entire time i was home.

I have to admit i miss them soooooo much. But like i say my January was packed and before i knew it it was time to return to KL. Anyway here are some crazy stuff we did. Well the birthday girl had clean her cupboard and found some stars that was given to her on one of her birthdays and she decided to sprinkle some stars on the walkway. So we decided to help out. How could we let her have all the fun right?? hahahahaha...

The macam paham pose.
Being litterbugs for the night.  The floor was covered with the stars when we left. People that pass by us just smiled and some gave strange look. Who cares about what people think when you are having fun right. :)

With the birthday girl. Still can believe we are 24 now. It feels like only yesterday we were all excited about turning 21.

That's the gift i got her.
A toilet pose is a must for every outing isn't it?

Later that month i had a guest came over the house. She's one of the teachers i had while i was in  Indonesia. She was actually my first form teacher. The one who molded me and a few of my friends. Being the culture shock us to the new school we are bound to for the next four years, we were quite a difficult bunch to handle. Me made her days hell and well she was patience enough to make us who we are today. Was greatly indebted to her. So when she said she was coming for a short visit to Singapore with her husband and kid i offered her my place for stay. And played tour guide for the few days she was in town.

Wanna guess where i took her? Well it's not rocket science is it to have guess where i took her...hahahahaha It was obviously the Zoo and well were else but Asia's favourite playground, Sentosa. Since she was with her 1 year 6 month old child we skipped USS and when to the world's largest oceanarium, Marine Life Park, Sentosa instead. We went to have fun at the beaches there before going to the Marine life park. It was my first time there too. It was really huge. And we can't stop going gaga over everything we saw. It was really beautiful. The pictures was just a glimpse of the real thing.

A very cute and active boy.
Ayden's favourite marine animals. Sharks.
He was fascinated by whatever that was behind the clear glass.

My favourite part of the Oceanarium.
It felt like i  don't have to get wet for a scuba dive experience. :) Not that i don't like to get wet and go scuba diving. It just an expensive dream right now. So till i get a chance to actually scuba dive the visits to the Marine Life Park will do.

They actually have baby sharks in there.
The chocolate chip starfish.
And i had the chance to touch it. :) Have always wanted to know what a starfish felt like.
My sis was so excited upon seeing the pink fishes. Being the pink freak that she was i wasn't surprise at all when she start snapping pictures of the fishes.

Never in my entire life have i seen such crabs. Its called the spider crab.

No ordinary kampung houses. Not when it was situated in Sentosa. :)
My teacher saw songs of the sea on TV and she wanted to watch it. So there we were being amaze at the splendid display of lights, water and music.

A visit to the Singapore Zoo was a brief one. They were tired by around five so we left early. We manage to catch a few shows and brought them to the kids area for some water play before we went for a carriage ride and went to the last show before we call it a day.

The one animal that stayed in the hearts of  many Singaporean . I remember how we would always want to snap a pic with the famous and friendly Orang Utan whenever we visit the Zoo.

The sea lions show has always been one of the zoo's best show. Simply because of the splashing of water and the damn smart sea lion.
And no visit to Singapore is ever complete without visiting the Merlion Park. As usual it was jam packed with tourist when we arrived. Thank God the weather was on our side for that day. Although it was scorching hot but it was better than the rain.

I know the picture isn't really doing any justice to the place. I think it would have been nicer at night. With all the lights and all.

Have always wanted to ride in one of  these. Never did.
Daddy was being a very nice host. He took a day off so he can drive us around town that day. Honestly i was tired from all the daily outing and i knew so were they. Well they came for a short visit so we went out every day from morning to noon. And it was nice to ride in a car instead of going up and down the public transport. I wouldn't have mind the public transport if i was alone.
Can you see the rainbow reflection on the water? :)
There you go.  A clearer view of the rainbow.
And that marks the end of their trip to Singapore. It was a pleasure to have them around. Especially that cutie pie. He was so adorable i tell you. Too smart for his age and super active. He was still wide awake at 11pm ok. Ayden would have been asleep by 10 latest. If he lasted that long. hahahahahahah...

And with that.. the month of January ended for me as well. February was a good start. I went to Batam for a short trip with my ma'had friends. I don't wish to make any promise if i'll blog on that one. Not because it was not a fun trip or anything but there are just too many pictures to edit and i will be starting school tomorrow. So if i ever get around to edit the pictures i will put it up ok.

Till than...take care and be save wherever you are.

Lots of Love
