Success is a cup of TEA.

The principal walks into our classroom and says "children do you know what success is?"

Silence.  Some of us were too busy trying to look like they have been awake and paying attention to what was being taught for the past hour and the rest... well we just can't be bothered. It must be one of his boring lectures again. Or so we thought.

He picked up a whiteboard marker and wrote on the board...
SUCCESS = TEA
He said " success my child is a cup of tea. You need to have Talent to succeed. And if you don't, you need to work hard. You need Effort. And when you have both, you will still not be able to achieve success unless you have the right Attitude."

And with that he walked out of the classroom.

Deep sleep

I wanna be sleeping beauty. Not dead just fall into a deep deep deep sleep. For as long as it takes.

I dont want no prince charming to wake me up either. I just want to be in a deep deep deep sleep.

And when I woke up... everything is back to normal. No fights. Nothing. Just the way things used to be. Be it family or friends.

Can I be sleeping beauty?  Not dead just fallen into a deep deep deep sleep.

The Wedding Affair: Finally She's Married

Alhamdulillah...like finally my eldest sister tied the knot last week, March 8 2014. Congratulations to my best baker and to my oldest-yet-youngest brother in-law...welcome to the family. <3

I was not involved in the pre-wedding preparations that much as i was in school and with visa complications and all...i only manage to be home 3 days before the wedding. Frustrating visa issues as always.

The wedding this time round is a little different that the previous 2. If the previous 2 weddings was held at a community club, this wedding is held at the mosque, al-Mawaddah. The first wedding was a one day affair. The second wedding was a 3 days affair. This wedding is a 2 days affair. Shall i make mine to be a 4 days affair?? :p

The bridal henna was done by SyraSkins and she did a wonderful job as always. She even did for me and my niece.

You Again

You seems to be appearing everywhere lately.

I saw you in my dream again a few days back. The dream theme this time is 'back to school.'

And I saw you again today. No not in my dream.  At least not today.

My heart skips a beat. And when it starts to beat again its like I just ended a marathon race.

Will this ever stop? It's something I've been working on since like forever.........

Here's to a brand new year

Realising (only now) the importance of what was thought during humanities (social studies & history) and literature classes back in secondary school.

The ability to read more than what was portrayed on the surface.  The ability to not just follow blindly and believe just one source. The ability to cross reference every given source before arriving to a conclusion. Most importantly the ability to search and seek the truth.

So kids out there (or you would prefer to be referred as teenagers) take your secondary school's education seriously. What is thought now is the most valuable thing you could ever have. Be in in the classroom or out.

Its the most valuable time of your life.  Make the best of it.

Here's to 2014. Happy new year all!! :)

Sister's Saturdate

I've been craving to ride the Transformers in  Universal Studios Singapore (USS). The last time i was there it was still under construction and the Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure (one of my favorite rides) was under maintenance.

Hence, once again I persuade my sisters to come with me to Universal Studios Singapore last Saturday. :) There's this promotion going on, buy 3 tickets and get the 4th one free for $222, so basically each paid $55.50. We were guessing that there's a promotion because the Battlestar Galactica (roller coster), Human Vs Cylon ride has been closed for quite some time now. And also maybe due to the Halloween Horror Nights in USS that cause it to close at 5pm instead of 8pm. That's just us guessing. :)

Anyway the tickets are gladly sponsored by my third sis (a.k.a the new bride). Well Thank You. :) It was a fun fun fun day for me. I had a ball of a time. Taking pictures with the mascots, riding rides and as well as (believe me or not) queuing for rides until...some idiots just have to piss us off. Not sure whether they are locals or not but it doesn't matter. Maybe not. Why? Because they tried to bribe the one working at the ride. Seriously??!!!

Well here's what happened. We were queuing for the indoor ride, Revenge of The Mummy, and in front of us there is a family of 3. It was a very long queue ok. So long that we took a sit when ever there's a place to. For those of you who has been there you'll probably know how long the queue can get. Especially on a weekends with lots of tour groups and school kids on excursions trips. Anyway...we almost reach the front of the queue when suddenly seven yes SEVEN others from the back (the queue is like a loop so the one one the opposite site can just cross over the rope to join the front queue) came all the way to the front saying they are in a group with the family of three in front of us. No doubt they know each other but still if you are in a group you should queue together isn't it. Wah...anyhow only ar... panas hati. Its unfair to those who is behind us, who has been queuing from just now right. My eldest sis told them nicely to get back in the queue (where they came from) but they so proud and being very annoying, insisting that they are in a group.

Well too bad I'm allergic to uncivilized annoyingly rude people. I took the single riders lane and walk straight up to inform the lady in charge of the ride. And when they reach the front they were called by the lady and she insisted for them to re join the queue. That means all the way back. Start queuing all over again. That's when those seven people wants to give her $10 and asked her to allow them to ride the ride. Very Funny isit?? !! Its Singapore ok.

That incident definitely dampened our mood. But not for long for we start to get back in the fun fun fun mood after screaming our lungs out during the ride. :p

Enjoy the pics... ;D

Although i dress in the same colour but ...No I'm not part of the mascots. :)

I cant seems to find my keys...hmmm...

Alright that's it for now. Bye.

Lots of Love
